Measuring environmental impacts to guide decision-making

Water footprint assessment

Accurately assessing the water footprint in order to comply with regulations or to understand the implications of increased water consumption in a region poses a real challenge for municipalities, industries and businesses, particularly given the complexity and diversity of existing indicators (e.g. water stress and water quality), which vary greatly depending on location.

We have extensive experience of using Veolia's Hubgrade Water Footprint tool, which is specifically designed for this purpose.

Our expertise:

  • Annual water footprint reports
  • Monitoring water footprint trends
  • Prospective water footprints for projects
  • Life Cycle Assessment

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method that provides a comprehensive, quantified overview of the environmental impact of a product or activity throughout its entire lifecycle, from the extraction of raw materials to the end of its life, including distribution and use.

The main objective of LCA is to identify the main sources of environmental impact and pollution associated with the different solutions studied. We are experts in using various LCA tools, including SimaPro and WRATE.

Our expertise:

  • Environmental footprint analysis
  • Customized product analysis
  • Advice on different solutions

Biodiversity protection

The protection of biodiversity is a crucial global issue.

Encompassing all forms of life on Earth, from microscopic bacteria and fungi to trees, coral reefs and mammals (including humans), biodiversity is under threat worldwide, with destruction occurring at an unprecedented rate. Human activities, particularly water extraction and discharge, disrupt natural ecosystems.

In the face of these challenges, our teams can rely on their expertise in using Veolia's Biodiversity Footprint tool.

Our expertise:

  • Biodiversity footprint analysis for waste or water-related activities
  • Action plan to protect environments, species and ecosystems
  • Biodiversity monitoring to measure the effectiveness of actions taken (usually every 4 years)
