A 4-year performance-based contract to strenghten water services in Jordan

Reducing water losses, optimising supply, and strenghtening infrastructure management for 3 million people
Jordan, water

Veolia's Engineering & Consulting is proud to play a key role in the recently signed four-year performance-based management contract between Veolia Near & Middle East and Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), on behalf of Yarmouk Water Company (YWC).

YWC delivers essential water and wastewater services to approximately 3 million inhabitants across Jordan's four northern governorates: Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, and Mafraq.

Our teams will provide engineering and operational support to YWC and Veolia across three high added value areas:

  • Non-Revenue Water (NRW) management, by deploying advanced leak detection, water supply network performance monitoring, and physical/commercial losses reduction strategies and action plans to preserve scarce water resources in the region;
  • Water network optimisation and reduction of intermittent supply, by enhancing distribution efficiency and service reliability through improved network management programmes;
  • Asset management, by strengthening the technical and financial stewardship of YMC's infrastructure: 13,500 km of water mains, 2,500 km of sewers, 200+ wells, and 150 reservoirs.

This new contract reflects our engagement and commitment in Jordan to deliver performance-driven and impactful solutions that support water security and resilience in one of the world's most water-stressed regions.
