Structuring and concession of the Zungeru hydropower plant, Nigeria
At Zungeru, we supported System Power Zungeru Limited in preparing the concession for a 700 MW hydropower plant. By forming a consortium and developing a competitive bid, we put in place an operational and financial model that maximised the project's appeal to partners and investors.
Regulatory reform and modernisation of Suriname's energy sector
With the support of the Inter-American Development Bank, we assisted the Suriname Energy Authority in reviewing existing legislation and drafting new legislative frameworks, including a rural electrification law. This work brought the sector into line with international best practice, promoting sustainable development and access to energy.
Support for an arbitration proceeding in the electricity sector in Ghana
We supported Power Distribution Services Ghana Limited in arbitration proceedings following the termination of its concession to operate the distribution network. We assessed the economic losses incurred, estimated the amount of compensation and produced a financial and comparative analysis in line with international industry standards and precedents.
